New Tagging Tool
It worked - if you run your mouse over the top right corner of the photo you'll get a window with text. Fun!

I'm working out some technical issues converting my video project from one format to another since the format I'm working in isn't the same one it will be viewed in. But I found this fun new tool today that I'm going to try out. It adds tags to blog images. I think I need to get some blog images first!

Video Project Again!
I'm working on my video project again - I think I've decided what my opening sequence will be. I'm trying out different effects, trying to learn the software and the capabilities of it. It's a little disjointed but then that's how I feel about a lot of these projects! I need to work on my script now, I think I'll save about three minutes for that, then with the opening minute, that will leave a minute or less for the closing.......

Not a Fun Day
Today was not a fun day. I took the Chemistry Praxis and it was hard. Not like the Biology test which was reasonable! I might as well just go ahead and register for it again in September. And hope I get some quality study time in before then.
I also spent hours trying to figure out why my new wireless printer would not print wirelessly. Not fun either. Finally gave up and relied on support for the manufacturer. But at least it's now printing wirelessly....
Worked on the video project but not much more success. Still not sure how I'm going to do this. Blogging is not that exciting.
But I decided on my final project - submitted a proposal for generating an e-portfolio. I want to gather my best stuff from all my classes. This would be a great start.

Video Project
I'm working on my video project for my class. It's on Blogger.
Found a great tutorial on Blogger. I hope I can use it. I have to figure out the TOS.

Finals Are Over!
I survived my first round of finals. I wrote for three hours today. One five minute break. One exam. No kidding. Does anyone ever need to write for three hours on an exam? It does seem excessive. But I wasn't even the last one to leave. That's scary.
I am really enjoying these classes. Even the work. I don't enjoy the worry that I won't get my assignments done and turned in on time, or having to stay up late. But I'm a lot calmer about it then when I was much younger. Some of the younger kids in the class comment on getting nervous or anxious. Nope, not me. Too much else to be nervous about. Too much else to do everyday. The kids are doing great, on their own so much. Matt drives everywhere they need to go and he "only" forgot one appointment. It's ok. I forgot too.
We are eating too much pizza and not enough vegetables. I miss vegetables.
It's been like a billion degrees out everyday this week.
New classes start on Monday. It's a good weekend to catch up on the work in the third class I'm taking. This blog is an assignment for that class. My goal was to write in my blog every day. So far...not so good. Maybe I can improve.

Projects...finals...teenagers...Blog etiquette
I've been researching blogg etiquette. What can I say. I'm old enough to care about etiquette. (But I actually had to look up how to spell the word etiquette). So far what I've found is you must not ask for followers. Good tip. Now I have to figure out what followers are. Is it akin to stalking? That does not sound like something I'd be interested in doing. I think. Or would want to have. I'm not sure. I like people. I love friends. I definitely do not want to be stalked.
Did I mention my friend Kelly is helping me? Thank god for help. I need to do a 5 minute video about blogging. So I'm blogging about the assignment. I don't want to make a mistake. So Kelly sent me a link to a blog on "5 mistakes to avoid when starting a new blog". Great info. But now I have to figure out how to avoid Mistake #4 Accidental Plagiarism. This class is really stressing that - so I want to get this right. What I learned is scary - according to US Copyright Office "Acknowledging the source of copyrighted material does not substitute for obtaining permission". Did I just plagiarize the US Copyright Office??
Is there spell check for blogs?
I put a Creative Commons license on the text on my blog. Not that I think anyone would be interested in plagiarizing my text. But I do need to learn about it.
I have ideas on what I'd like my video on Blogspot to look like. I have no ideas on how to make that happen. I need a good software program to help me build my shots. Ideas?

I'm back in school...again.
This blog is a class assignment. I am to learn all about blogger.com. Not so bad, right?
Well I also have to create a digital video about what I have learned by using blogger.com. It will be assessed on content, technical aspects, and copyrighted information.
Did I mention I'm quickly approaching 50? And back in school full time?
This blog will be a record of the next 15 months of what I will be doing. I'll let you know when I figure it out.
PS Help on the video welcome.
